Бронированный Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard — против проекта Кортеж?

Похоже, бюджет Российской Федерации ждет очередное испытание: компания Daimler объявила о готовности бронированного лимузина Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Pullman Guard. Заказы уже принимаются, а поставки машин длиной 6,5 м, на постройку каждой из которых уходит около девяти месяцев, начнутся во второй половине 2017 года.

В отличие от «гражданских» Пульманов серии VV 222, выпуском которых занимается фирма Brabus из вестфальского Боттропа, бронированные лимузины будут делать в «домашнем» подразделении Mercedes-Benz Guard рядом с головным заводом Даймлера в Зиндельфингене.

Объем переделок значителен: бронесталь под полом и по периметру клетки салона, сталь в сочетании с кевларом в крыше, пулестойкие стекла итальянской фирмы Isoclima толщиной более 60 мм. Есть и секрет: вместо заднего стекла установлена бронезаглушка, замаскированная снаружи стандартным стеклом. В итоге лимузин отвечает уровню защиты VR9 по гражданскому евростандарту BRV 2009 (от бронебойных пуль оружия под европейский патрон 7,62х51 мм), что примерно соответствует действовавшему до 2009 года классу B7. А защита от подрыва соответствует стандарту ERV 2010: Pullman Guard способен выдержать взрыв 15 кг тринитротолуола в двух метрах от автомобиля и в метре над землей.

Огромные задние двери лимузина (длиной 135 см) вручную теперь открывать затруднительно, поэтому в помощь отряжен электропривод, а за поднятие-опускание ламинированных поликарбонатом бронестекол отвечает гидравлика. Снаряженная масса Пульмана выросла более чем на две тонны — с 3060 до 5100 кг. Но в движение его по-прежнему приводит стандартный 36-клапанный мотор V12 6.0 (530 л.с.) в паре с семиступенчатым «автоматом». Максимальная скорость ограничена на отметке 160 км/ч против 210 км/ч у небронированного варианта.

Архитектура интерьера после установки брони не изменилась: расположенные против движения кресла-страпонтены, перегородка с электрохромным покрытием, выдвижной телевизор диагональю 18,5 дюйма, регулировка наклона спинок задних сидений в пределах 19—43,5 градуса, шкалы часов, спидометра и указателя забортной температуры на потолке. Однако бронезащита внесла коррективы в размеры салона: он немного теснее, а потолок на 40 мм ниже стандартного.

Базовая цена броневика почти втрое выше, чем у незащищенного Пульмана: 1,4 млн евро. А с опциями вроде опционных сирен, стробоскопов, громкоговорителей и прочего индивидуального оборудования она может вырасти еще сильнее — лимита, по сути, нет.

Как известно, в кремлевский гараж бронированные Пульманы поступают не в единичном числе. Главный вопрос: будут ли первые лица российского государства заказывать новые Мерседесы или все-таки дождутся лимузинов проекта Кортеж, на создание которых уже выделено как минимум 3,7 млрд бюджетных рублей. Поставки первых машин запланированы на конец 2017 года, то есть примерно в одно время с немецкими броневиками.

Немецкая марка презентовала самый дорогой и самый защищенный лимузин - S600 Pullman Guard. Новинка соответствует наивысшему уровню баллистической защиты VR9.

По данным Mercedes-Benz, бронированный лимузин способен выдержать очередь выстрелов из штурмовой винтовки и может противостоять взрывчатке мощностью 15 кг в тротиловом эквиваленте.

При создании Pullman Guard применяются высокопрочная сталь и арамид, а стекла сделаны из поликарбоната. Помимо внешней «капсулы», предусмотрены элементы защиты и непосредственно в салоне. Вставки есть на боковых окнах и вблизи заднего стекла – на случай вооруженного нападения сзади.

Двери автомобиля имеют особый механизм, почти как у сейфов (они захлопываются «наглухо»), и оснащены дополнительными электромоторами – активируются при открытии/закрытии.

В сравнении с Mercedes-Maybach Pullman без брони защищенная модификация почти вдвое тяжелее – 5,1 т. Движущей силой Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard выступает 12-цилиндровый бензиновый мотор с двойным турбонаддувом, который развивает 523 силы и обладает максимальным крутящим моментом в 830 Нм. На случай форс-мажора предусмотрены: дополнительный аккумулятор для запуска двигателя и резервные средства спецсвязи.

Если говорить о длине S600 Pullman Guard, она на почти на 1 метр превышает показатели стандартного Mercedes-Maybach. Как и в случае с небронированной модификацией, интерьер предусматривает высочайшую отделку, наличие бара, массажа кресел и не только. Пассажирский отсек может иметь два ряда диванов, расположенных друг напротив друга или один — только для хозяина и его спутницы (или партнера по бизнесу).

Также предполагается наличие защитной перегородки, которая не только отделяет VIP-персон от сидящих спереди водителя и телохранителя, а защищает их. Перегородка — бронированная. Говоря проще, всё зависит от пожеланий заказчика и толщины его кошелька. Незащищенный Pullman стоит от 500 тысяч евро, а вот бронированный Майбах обойдется как минимум в 1,4 миллиона евро.

Дебют Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard состоится на Парижском автосалоне, а первые товарные экземпляры будут выпущены во второй половине 2017 года.

As you might expect, so much armor isn’t very light, and the Pullman Guard tips the scales at 11,200 pounds (5.1 metric tons). There’s so much protection in the doors that Maybach adds electric motors to assist people operating them. The additions include steel panels in the cavities between the body structure and outer metal. The company also reinforces the floor to protect from blasts.

While these upgrades mean the S600 Pullman Guard could handle driving through a war zone, it looks the almost identical to the non-armored variant. The additional protection has no affect on the interior dimensions, too. Power still comes from a biturbo 6.0-liter V12 with 523 horsepower (390 kilowatts) and 612 pound-feet (830 Newton-meters).

The truly paranoid Mercedes customer actually might want to choose the smaller (but still plenty large) standard Maybach S600 Guard. Introduced earlier this year, it’s the only passenger car in the world to offer VR10 ballistic protection, which gives the sedan the extra ability to take hardened-steel rounds from an assault rival. The model also has the same level of explosion protection as the Pullman Guard. Buyers save quite a bit too because Maybach S600 Guard starts at 470,000 euros ($524,000) in Germany.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Pullman Guard Will Save Your Hide When The World Goes Mad

I just watched Baby Driver for the first time recently, and one of the problems in that movie is the cars aren’t bulletproof enough. Everyone would have had a much easier time if there were rolling around in the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 Pullman Guard. Now there’s a real armored car.

I’m not really sure how this example of grandiose perfection escaped my notice at first, but it has my attention now and that’s all that matters. It has complete class VR 9 ballistic protection in both transparent and non-transparent areas, which means that it can withstand 7.62 x 51mm rounds from an M60, M14 and FN-FAL. The rear window isn’t armored, but the car does have a steel bulkhead behind the seats that acts as a shield for the passengers’ heads.

The body uses “protective components of special steel [that] are integrated into the cavities between the body structure and the outer skin.” Additional components ensure maximum splinter protection; plates overlap in sensitive places to provide even more protection against bullets.

The glass, coated with polycarbonate along the inside to prevent splintering, is extra thick.

Underneath, the Pullman Guard has ERV 2010 blast protection. Its underbody has floor armoring that helps it resist explosions, yet the vehicle’s survivability is unclear. Is it designed so that the just the occupants inside survive? The driver? Can the car keep moving after the explosion? These details are usually vague, though. Can’t go divulging these secrets; that’s how you get people learning how to beat the system.

All in all, the Pullman Guard weighs 5.1 tons. And because the doors are so heavy, they have motors in them to help passengers open and close them more easily. Extra features include sirens, flashing lamps, two-way radios, an emergency starter battery and a loudspeaker and microphone. These last two items are also handy for when you need to shout unpopular political rhetoric from the car as you drive by.

It uses a twin-turbo V12 engine with a claimed output of 530 horsepower. The interior is covered in buttery, quilted leather and has back-facing seats as well, for all your business meetings that need protection from the local rebels.

The Pullman Guard comes to about €1.4 million ($1.6 million). All I can say is damn.

Okay, and now I’ll admit something shameful. Back in 2008, the last installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, came out. I bought the book. I read it. Bite me.

It started with Bella driving something called the “Mercedes Guardian,” which doesn’t exist. But what I figured out just now, after writing this post, was that the author, Stephenie Meyer, was actually referring to the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard from the mid- to later-2000s. Neat! It’s fun when things come full circle like that.
