No system, regardless of how advanced, can overcome the laws of physics or correct careless driving. Please always wear your seat belt. Active Brake Assist may not be sufficient to avoid an accident. It does not react to certain stationary or suddenly moving objects or pedestrians, may not react in certain situations where objects cannot be clearly identified, nor does it recognize or predict the curvature and/or lane layout of the road or every movement of vehicles and pedestrians ahead. Active Steering Assist requires driver to hold steering wheel and be ready to steer vehicle at any time. It may not recognize lane markings in some lighting, weather and road conditions. It is the driver's responsibility at all times to be attentive to traffic and road conditions, and to provide the steering, braking and other driving inputs necessary to retain control of the vehicle.

While the navigation system provides directional assistance, the driver must remain focused on safe driving behaviour, including paying attention to traffic and street signs. The driver should utilize the system's audio cues while driving and should only consult the map or visual displays once the vehicle has been stopped in a safe place. Maps do not cover all areas or all routes within an area.

Мерседес готовит к показу Maybach GLS 2019 — конкурента для Bentley Bentayga

Уже сейчас немецкая марка активно тестирует кроссовер Maybach GLS, который сумели заснять фотошпионы. Серийное производство новинки начнется в 2019, ведь совсем недавно производитель презентовал свое детище Maybach Vision Ultimate Luxury Concept в Пекине. По сравнению с прочей продукции Maybach, новинка не будет иметь ничего общего с концептуальной версией, а станет результатом переделанной серийной модели GLS.

Исходя из полученных снимков, Mercedes-Maybach GLS останется на прежней колесной базе, то есть изменений от обычного кроссовера будет немного. Существенные корректировки коснутся оснащения и интерьера. Теперь второй ряд сидений будет облагорожен, так что авто можно с полной уверенностью назвать: «вариантом для пассажира».

Как известно, дизайн и техническое оснащение также получит ряд корректировок. Внешне модель будет облицована, однако конкретно изменения не были озвучены. По заявлению главного инженер Maybach, есть информация об оснащении автомобиля другой подвеской. То есть, современный вариант Magic Body Control уже не удовлетворяет потребности владельца, не может обеспечить комфортное управление и перемещение на транспортном средстве. Силовой агрегат наверняка получит большую мощность, в отличие от уже полюбившейся модели. Трансмиссию планируется оставить прежней – десятиступенчатая АКПП.

Премьера новинки запланирована на середину ноября 2018 года, а местом проведения выступит выставочный зал Лос-Анджелеса. В качестве конкурентов на подиумах выставки предстанут: Bentley Bentayga, BMW X7 и конечно детище Range Rover. Предварительная стоимость модели все еще не озвучена, вопрос о серийном выпуске также остается открытым, предположительно 2019 год.

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class once wore the GL badge. The name’s changed, but the big, boxy-but-beautiful family hauler hasn’t changed much at all.

It carries over for the 2019 model year, while a new edition waits for a public reveal.

The 2019 Benz GLS is a capable all-weather performer and has enough real utility to make it a solid choice for families or people needing plenty of cargo space. We rate it 6.6 out of 10 overall. (Read more about how we rate cars.)

Did we already say boxy? The point can’t be overstated. The GLS embraces the old-school SUV look gracefully, and pairs it with a lush interior with swaths of optional leather, wood, and metal.

The GLS450 is powered by a 362-horsepower twin-turbo V-6 and a 9-speed automatic. A little warmer is the GLS550 with a 449-hp V-8, paired to the same 9-speed auto. Smoking hot is the AMG GLS63 with a 577-hp twin-turbo V-8 and a 7-speed automatic. All versions come standard with all-wheel drive.

All models feel and handle much more confidently than their size indicates with air suspension that damps out all but the worst roads. As a result, the driving sensation isn’t far off from that of a much smaller car, with the difference being much more passenger space. All three rows are spacious enough, and feature plenty of options to spoil passengers like heating and cooling, or multi-way adjustments.

The 2019 GLS hasn’t been safety-tested yet (2018’s model hasn’t yet, either), but can be upgraded with blind-spot monitors, surround-view cameras, and active lane assist.

The list of available options, both packaged and stand-alone, is long. Buyers can opt into navigation, leather, upgraded audio, off-road packages, and more. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are optional on the base GLS450, standard on other models, and they’re recommended, since they help ease the COMAND infotainment system’s woes.

Штутгартские инженеры принялись за создание нового поколения топового полноразмерного кроссовера в своей линейке — Mercedes GLS. Прототип флагмана уже вышел на тесты на немецких дорогах и у нас появилась возможность взглянуть на имеющиеся результаты труда разработчиков.

Судя по обилию «чистового» камуфляжа и неуклюжим фальш-панелям, можно заключить, что GLS 2019 уже получил собственный кузов. По причине тонн защиты мы ничего пока не можем сказать о дизайне грядущей новинки, однако и так понятно, что GLS вырастет в размерах — прототип явно шире и длиннее предшественника.

В основе внедорожника лежит очень гибкая в плане возможностей применения архитектура MHA, которую также инженеры Mercedes положат в качестве фундамента следующего поколения GLE. Новая платформа позволит при увеличении габаритов снизить массу автомобиля, а также интегрировать в GLS элемнты автопилота, дебютировавшие на последних поколениях Е-Класса и S-Класса.

Костяк ассортимента силовых агрегатов для Mercedes GLS 2019 составят рядные 6-цилиндровые двигатели с турбонаддувом на бензине и дизельном топливе, однако покупателям также предложат более скромные «турбо-четверки» и топовые V8. Самый мощный AMG-вариант получит битурбо 4.0 V8. По слухам, в недрах штутгартских лабораторий готовят гибридный GLS 2019 с бензиновым 3.0-литровым бензиновым двигателем и электромотором, выдающими суммарно 400 лошадиных сил мощности.

Все модификации GLS 2019 будут исключительно полноприводными с фирменной системой 4MATIC, а в качестве единой коробки передач для всех модификаций выступит прогрессивный 9-ступенчатый «автомат» с двойным сцеплением.

По запуску в серию в 2019 году новому Mercedes GLS придется сразиться за кошельки состоятельных покупателей с грядущим BMW X7 и Land Rover Range Rover.
